Our founder Coach Twigzz
Coach Twigzz
Coach Twigzz has been a pillar in the Capital region since his early 20's serving kids primarily from the capital region, with also sprinkling kids into the program from, Philadelphia, Massachusetts, and parts of upstate NY. In 2014 he started the Albany Lady Stars after Coaching for NY's top boy's aau program, the Albany City Rocks where he has helped over 75 boys earn Div 1 and 2 scholarships and grants for div 3 players. He has also helped some of the top northeast players earn scholarships at the juco, div 1, 2, 3 and prep school levels. Since 2014, coach Twigzz has helped kids earn over $8 million dollars in scholarships and is still going.

Our Mission
For those of you who are not familiar with our organization, THE ALBANY LADY STARS NY is a not-for
profit organization dedicated to the mission to help young girls grow and develop into positive citizens.
THE ALBANY LADY STARS NY depends solely on our volunteers, families and sponsors. Our goal is to
improve the quality of life for girls who are dedicated to the sport of basketball. Children from ages 9-18
years, primarily from the Capital Region, that participate in our program for a great opportunity to
succeed and excel in a positive fashion.
We are not only training our youth to be athletes, but to be productive students and young women in
our society. Our goal for youth is education first, basketball second. We believe in teaching them how to
be good students first, for without good study habits they will not be able to accomplish their long-term
goals of becoming a scholar athlete.
